The Coonskin Park Clubhouse is in Coonskin Park, a large county park in Charleston, WV. The park is run by Kanawha County Parks and Recreation. It is off U.S. Route 119 (Elk River Road), near the Mink Shoals exit of Interstate 79, about 10 minutes from downtown Charleston.
The clubhouse stands beside the first tee of the park’s golf course. In July 2022 the Kanawha County Commission held a groundbreaking there for a full redesign of the course as a nine-hole par-three course. The commission put more than $1.2 million in American Rescue Plan funds into the project.
The park has hiking and biking trails, disc golf, a pool, a small fishing lake, picnic shelters, tennis courts, a playground, an amphitheater, a wedding garden and a soccer stadium. WSAZ reported that grassroots efforts built the park in two days, with work done on June 28, 1950. The park marked its 75th year in 2025.
