In 2021, the county health department and community partners held free HIV testing at church lots, vacant lots and community centers across Kanawha County during the local HIV outbreak. The church was one of the stops. Testing was free and came with linkage to care. The outreach stops also offered COVID-19 testing and vaccines and shots for hepatitis A, hepatitis B and tetanus.
