This was one of the later sessions in the Walk-in Wednesday series for childhood immunizations at the county health department.
During the series, children could get back-to-school shots without an appointment from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Wednesdays at the health department office on Lee Street in Charleston. The 2021 series ran on July 7, 14, 21 and 28.
A parent or guardian had to come with the child. Families brought the child’s shot record and insurance card, but children without insurance were still served. Because the clinic could get busy, people were encouraged to wear masks.
