In July 2021 the county health department offered Walk-in Wednesdays for childhood immunizations. Parents could bring their children for back-to-school shots without an appointment.
The clinic took walk-ins from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, July 7, 14, 21 and 28, 2021, at the health department office, 108 Lee Street East, Charleston.
A parent or guardian had to stay with the child for the whole visit. Families were asked to bring the child’s vaccine record and insurance information. No one was turned away for lack of insurance.
