CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital is one of the Charleston Area Medical Center (CAMC) hospitals in Charleston, WV.
In September 2020 CAMC opened a drive-through COVID-19 testing site in the hospital parking lot in front of the Ronald McDonald House. The site opened on Wednesday, September 9, 2020. It was aimed at children and families. Hours were Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon. A doctor’s order, or a telemedicine or urgent care visit, was needed before a test. Results usually came in about 24 to 48 hours.
During the pandemic, CAMC was also a partner in the large community COVID-19 vaccine clinics that the county health department held in Charleston in 2021. See the community COVID-19 vaccine clinic and all event locations.
