The health department will host a community health fair Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
During the fair, Kanawha County Commission President Kent Carper will speak about his kidney transplant earlier this year. Carper will speak at 11 a.m. in KCHD’s first-floor conference room. Reporters are encouraged to attend. Representatives from the Center for Organ Recovery and Donation and Charleston Area Medical Center’s Kidney Transplant Center will be available to answer questions about organ donation.
