The Chelyan Center is at 200 Upper Kanawha Valley Way in the Cabin Creek area of eastern Kanawha County, WV 25035. Chelyan is a small community on the south bank of the Kanawha River, southeast of Chesapeake. It had 681 residents in the 2020 census.
In 2021, the county health department and community partners took free HIV testing to towns along the Kanawha River in the eastern part of the county. The Chelyan Center was one of the stops.
