The county health department held a community drive-through COVID-19 testing and vaccination clinic on Saturday, August 21, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its office on Lee Street in Charleston.
The clinic came as the CDC listed Kanawha County as a high-risk county. At the time the state reported 16,350 total cases and 367 deaths in the county. Health officials urged anyone not yet vaccinated to get the shot.
No appointment was needed. The Saturday clinic was the last of three in August. The health department also took walk-ins on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
