In the fall of 2021, the county health department held Sunday afternoon COVID-19 testing and vaccine clinics at its office at 108 Lee Street East in Charleston. The extra hours gave people a chance to get tested or vaccinated outside the usual weekday schedule.
One of these clinics took place on Sunday, October 3, 2021, from 1 to 5 p.m. It offered COVID-19 tests and vaccines, and seasonal flu shots were available too.
On weekdays, testing and vaccines were available at the same office from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with no appointment needed.
