Health Department and KCEAA to Continue Drive-Up Testing Tuesday

In June 2020, the county health department and the Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority held drive-up COVID-19 testing at the health department office, 108 Lee Street East in Charleston. The agencies continued the testing on a Tuesday.

The office testing started after cases linked to travel to Myrtle Beach began to show up in the county. On Friday, June 19, 2020, a state holiday, 442 people were tested there. Another event was set for Monday, June 22, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. No appointment or doctor’s order was needed, and anyone could be tested.

People who had traveled recently, especially to hot spots, were urged to get tested. See drive-up testing event Monday at the health department and three more positives with a Myrtle Beach link.
