In early 2022 residents were reminded to get their COVID-19 booster shot on time.
The booster timing at that point followed CDC advice:
- Pfizer (ages 12 and up): a booster 5 months after the second dose. In May 2022 CDC extended this to ages 5 to 11.
- Moderna (ages 18 and up): a booster 5 months after the second dose.
- Johnson & Johnson (ages 18 and up): a booster 2 months after the single shot.
Walk-in shots were offered on weekdays with no appointment. See also the earlier post on boosters for all adults 18 and older.
These booster intervals are from 2022. CDC has since replaced them with updated vaccine guidance.
