The health department and the Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority administered 281 COVID-19 vaccines during a clinic Wednesday at the Rand Community Center in Rand.
KCHD worked with the West Virginia COVID-19 Vaccine Registration System at www.vaccinate.wv.gov to schedule appointments for the clinic.
“We were able to scale down our large COVID-19 vaccine administration process today and take it to Eastern Kanawha County,” said Dr. Sherri Young, health officer and executive director of KCHD. “We know that not everyone has the ability to get to the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center for their vaccine. This is one more way we’re getting COVID-19 vaccines to those who need it.”
