Provide Technical Assistance to Citizens and Organizations in Regards to health Promotions Activities

The Kanawha-Charleston Health Department is working with health care providers and school officials to promote adolescent immunizations in our county. As part of our Adolescent Immunization Project, "Take Your Best Shot," we are sponsoring a contest for adolescents, ages 11 to 21, who reside in Kanawha County. A child who completes the recommended adolescent vaccines before December 31, 2008, is eligible to enter a drawing to win prizes, such as a Dell® laptop computer or iPOD-touch®.  If your child has not yet received these vaccines, call your health care provider or the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department to schedule an appointment.  Special clinics have been set-up each Friday specifically for this campaign.
