The Family Planning Program offers comprehensive medical examinations including:
● Pelvic exam |

● Pap test to screen for cervical cancer |
|
● Clinical breast exam and instruction |
|
● Testicular exam and instruction (males) |
|
● Screening and treatment for some sexually transmitted diseases |
● Health education and counseling
● Pregnancy tests
● Follow-up and referral for identified medical needs
● Basic infertility information
To qualify the following guidelines must apply:
● You must be a female or a male of childbearing age, including adolescents who may not yet be sexually active; and at risk of unintended pregnancy and in need of family planning/contraceptive
services;
● You must be a woman seeking pregnancy;
● Your documented income must be at or below 250% of the current Federal Poverty Level, based on current sliding fee scale; AND
● You must be uninsured or underinsured (you have no insurance or your insurance does not cover annual services or birth control) Note: If your plan does not cover birth control supplies, you are required to bring an insurance statement that confirms this.
Medicaid HMO recipients are ineligible for this service, as the HMO should cover the service.
Family Planning visits are scheduled by appointment on the first three Wednesdays of each month following the schedule below:
1st Wednesday of the month 8:00-10:30 am
2nd Wednesday of the month 1:00-3:00 pm
3rd Wednesday of the month 8:00-10:30 am

Registration Form
The Family Planning Program offers free contraceptive methods to those that are enrolled in the program.
These include:
Birth control pills
Birth control shots (Depo-Provera®)
Contraceptive Patch (Ortho Evra®)
Foam and condoms
Diaphragms (Ortho ALL-FLEX® Arcing Spring)
Emergency contraceptive pills (Plan B®)
Natural family planning
Abstinence information
Surgical sterilization (tubal ligation and vasectomy)
Intrauterine device (ParaGard® Copper T380A)
Supply visits are on a walk-in basis every Tuesday & Thursday from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Those with private insurance who receive gynecological services from KCHD will receive a prescription for birth control supply.
Depo-Provera® picked up from a pharmacy can also be administered.

Breast & Cervical Cancer Screening Program
We are a provider of the West Virginia Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program (WVBCCSP). This is a comprehensive public health program that helps uninsured or underinsured women gain access to breast and cervical cancer screening services. Screening and early detection reduces death rates, improves treatment options, and greatly increases survival.
To initially qualify, you must be between the ages of 25 and 64 And NOT be seeking birth control or be enrolled in the Family Planning Program.
BCCSP visits are scheduled by appointment on the first three Wednesdays of each month following the schedule below:
1st Wednesday of the month 8:00-10:30 am
2nd Wednesday of the month 1:00-3:00 pm
3rd Wednesday of the month 8:00-10:30 am

Private Gynecological Services
We also provide private gynecological services at the same high standard that the state programs have set. You do not have to qualify for this service.
Private gynecological exam visits are scheduled by appointment on the first three Wednesdays of each month following the schedule below:
